Designed for tractors with 35 to 80 HP at the PTO, with a patent-pending shock absorption and dampening technology, which delivers smoother, more controlled stump grinding. It applies even pressure, prevents kickback, and features a built-in draw speed indicator to help set the optimal working range for tractor speed.

It connects directly to the tractor's 3-point hitch system and is driven by a Series 7, twin plate slip clutch style PTO shaft, which is included.

Information

It features a large 71 cm (28") diameter solid-steel grinding flywheel and 44 tungsten carbide cutting teeth laid out in a sequential pattern for smooth cuts.

The WG28 PRO stump grinder is designed to work on tractors with a PTO shaft, and works best on tractors with PTO shafts that are independent of the tractor's transmission drive system. This allows the operator to control the speed of the tractor separately from the PTO speed. Since the tractor pulls the grinder through the stump, the rate at which the tractor moves is important, and should be independent of the PTO shaft.

The built-in draw speed indicator lets the operator see the angle of the stump grinder from the seat of the tractor. This way, they can maintain the best working range for the tractor speed. The WG28 PRO stump grinder is required to be operated at 540 RPM.

The Series 7 PTO Shaft is compatible with gearboxes featuring a 1-3/8" Z6 input shaft. It is equipped with a 6-spline, twin plate slip clutch, allowing controlled slippage to manage torque, and enabling different speeds on each side of the shaft. The PTO Shaft includes a quick-release splined yoke on the tractor side and comes with safety shields and chains. It measures 965 mm 38") when compressed and can extend up to 1245 mm (49").

The WG28 PRO connects seamlessly to the tractor’s 3-point hitch system and includes a chain-equipped chip deflector to keep debris contained to your work area for easier clean up. The WG28 PRO has both Category 1 and Category 2 holes and pins, making it compatible with a wide range of tractors and horsepower ratings. The Category 1 setup is also quick hitch compatible for faster, easier hookups.

The WG28 PRO comes equipped with an adjustable chainsaw holder featuring nylon slides, allowing you to easily accommodate various bar widths. It provides a secure spot to transport your chainsaw around your property, keeping it safely stored while you move between tasks.

Located at the base of the back frame, the integrated support legs provide stable support during storage, keeping the stump grinder in an ideal position for quick and easy tractor hookup. They also adjust to an in-use position when grinding, allowing you to grind stumps down below grade without interfering with operation.

30 Day Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with the purchase of your Woodland Mills product, you can return it in its original packaging for a refund. Returns must be made within 30 days of the invoice date and the cost of shipping to and from the customer are non- refundable. Used accessories cannot be returned for refund. There is a limit of one return per customer.

Remedy

The remedy for this warranty is that Woodland Mills will at its discretion provide replacement parts to the original purchaser. This is a parts only warranty and excludes labour and/or other costs associated with replacing parts. Woodland Mills reserves the right to discontinue or change materials, parts, models, or products, or to make substitutions. Woodland Mills will ship replacement parts via a courier. Express shipping options may be available in certain regions and at an extra cost to the customer. Photos, videos, or the return of defective parts to Woodland Mills may be required for proper root cause and replacement. When defective parts are required to be returned, a pre-paid courier shipping label will be provided to the customer.

Warranty Limitations

This warranty does not apply to normal wear, commercial or rental use, after-market modification or damages that occur from negligence, misuse, or use not in accordance with the operating and maintenance instructions, or the products intended uses. Woodland Mills disclaims liability for any accidents, injury or damages to the equipment or personal property caused by the equipment when equipped with unauthorized parts, equipped with parts for unapproved purposes or modified in any other way. Woodland Mills will at its discretion make the final decision regarding warranty eligibility.

Disclaimer

Woodland Mills disclaims liability for any implied warranties, including implied warranties of ‘merchantability’ and ‘fitness for a specific purpose’ after the term of this Warranty.

Warranty Parts

Woodland Mills does its best to stock all parts, but in rare cases, parts may need to be ordered in and the customer will be notified upon arrival of required parts. Woodland Mills will not be liable for any damages associated with the unavailability of parts.

Warranty Exclusions

Wear items including, but not limited to belts, bearings, blades, bed plates, blade guide blocks, chainsaw chains, chainsaw bars, grinding teeth and tires are excluded from this warranty. Engines are not included within the Woodland Mills warranty.

Design Changes

Warrantor reserves the right to change the design of its products from time to time without notice and without obligation to make corresponding changes in or to its products previously manufactured.

Consequential Losses

Woodland Mills shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential losses, accidents, injury, damages, or expenses, arising directly or indirectly from the product, whether such claim is based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, strict liability in tort or any other legal theory. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Woodland Mills specifically disclaims any damages relating to (i) lost profits, business, revenues, or goodwill; (ii) any expense or loss incurred for labour, supplies, substitute machinery or rental; or (iii) any other type of damage to property or economic loss.

Engine Warranty

Engines are covered by the manufacturer of the engine and covered by the warranty period specified by that manufacturer. All engine repairs, service and part replacements will not be done by Woodland Mills. The engine or complete piece of equipment must be taken to your local engine dealer to receive warranty consideration.
